The ASP.NET Web Forms Generator is a plug-in Generator for Component Enabler similar to the ASP Generator. The ASP.NET Web Forms generator takes the painted forms from Developer, and converts them into ASP.NET Web Forms. In conjunction with the supplied infrastructure files, the generated Web Forms can be compiled into an ASP.NET application and deployed to an IIS Web Server.
For customers deploying to system on the Microsoft .NET Framework, the ASP.NET Web Forms generator serves as an alternative to the Agile Business Suite ASP generator, which is designed to generate ASP forms.
The ASP.NET Web Forms generator takes a Bundle of Ispecs and generates the following source files in C# to the Views directory:
One .ascx ASP.NET Web User Control form with associated .ascx.cs C# code behind page for each Ispec in the bundle.
One .aspx ASP.NET Web Page with associated .aspx.cs C# code behind page for each Teach screen in the bundle.
One IspecList.xml file containing a list of Ispecs for each bundle.
One Visual Studio project file for the set of generated Web Forms in the bundle.
The Bundle is generated for deployment on Microsoft IIS Web Server platforms with the Microsoft .NET Framework installed.
Note: Bundles generated on Component Enabler 7.0 should be deployed on IIS Web Server that has Component Enabler 7.0 components installed.
