The user ID that the Operations Sentinel Server services uses, including the Server Control Interface (SCI), running on the Operations Sentinel server must be added to each Service Processor to allow SCI to connect to the Service Processor. This is done by adding the user ID to the Administrators group of the Service Processor. If the Service Processors and Operations Sentinel servers are using a workgroup model rather than domains, then a user ID and password, identical to that on the Operations Sentinel Server, must be created and added to the Administrators group.
To monitor the Service Processor and obtain the information about System PowerStatus, temperatureStatus, impellerStatus, or cabinetDoorStatus, the SC Bridge Host service should be set to start automatically. Perform the following steps to set the startup type of the SC Bridge Host service to Automatic on the Operations Sentinel Server:
Click Start, Control Panel, Administrative Tools, and then Services.
Or
Click Start, Control Panel, System and Security, Administrative Tools, and then Services.
Right-click on the SC Bridge Host and then select Properties.
The SC Bridge Host Properties window appears.
From the Startup type drop-down list, select Automatic, and then click OK.
Note: The above steps must be performed on the Service Processor as well.
