Installing the UNIX/Linux Resource Monitor on Multiple Systems

Note: Refer to Section 2, “Installation and Preparation,” for more information on mounting and unmounting Operations Sentinel Software ISO image on UNIX or Linux systems.

Perform the following steps to install the ULRM on multiple systems:

  1. Click Linux/UNIX Agent(Multiple) on the Installation home screen.

    The Operations Sentinel Unix/Linux Resource Monitor (ULRM) Installer Wizard appears.

  2. Enter the DNS name or IP address of the systems in the DNS Name/IP Address column.

    If the system is connected, enter the username and password in their respective columns.

    The information related to the connectivity of the systems, previous version of ULRM, or the installation or uninstallation result is displayed in the Status Log column.

  3. (Optional) You can select the check box under Uninstall or Clear Row(s) and click Clear Row(s) to clear the entries.

  4. Click Install.

Note: Note: You can install ULRM on 10 systems simultaneously.

Configuring UNIX/Linux Resource Monitor on Multiple systems

After you successfully install the ULRM on multiple systems, perform the following steps to configure the ULRM:

  1. Enter the DNS name or IP address of the primary server in the Primary Server* box. By default, the Primary Server* box picks the IP Address of the system on which ULRM installer wizard is open. You can change the default value by specifying the valid DNS name or IP address.

  2. (Optional) Enter the valid DNS name or IP address of the secondary server in the Secondary Server box.

  3. (Optional) Turn on the Concurrent button which enables concurrent monitoring.

  4. Choose between IPv4 and IPv6 Internet Protocol based on the primary and secondary server configurations.

  5. Click Configure, and then click Close to close the installer wizard.
