Adding SNMP Variable Bindings to Text and SPO Event Report

To add the value of any SNMP variable binding to the content of the Text or SPO Event Report box, specify the value of the variable binding as follows:

%variable-binding-number

In Figure 15–6, “%1” is replaced with the value of the second variable binding (%0 represents the first variable binding) in the Text and SPO Event Report boxes.

Adding Attribute-Value Pairs

You can add any valid attribute-value pairs in the SPO Event Report box. As described in “Editing the Operations Sentinel Trap Service Database,” the predefined variables have default attribute-value pairs associated with them. You can override the default value by specifying the attribute with a different value within the SPO Event Report box.

For alert event reports, additional attribute-value pairs you specify in the SPO Event Report box set values for site-defined attributes.
