Information sources used by Operations Sentinel, such as UNIX and Linux console sessions, provide information that is directly used by SP-AMS or the Operations Sentinel alert handler. These are the information sources for redundant monitoring. They include console data streams and various agents, depending on the system type. These information sources provide console messages (both system console data and message data streams through TELNET or SSH) that SP-AMS patterns can match, resulting in automated actions.
