The role-based security feature allows the Operations Sentinel administrator to create roles that can be used to grant access to the various managed objects defined in Operations Sentinel Console. The ability to read or modify managed objects, managed groups, and zones can be granted or denied along with the ability to execute external applications. Role-based security is not extended to individual log policies or alert policies.

Department and Enterprise Editions

In the Department and Enterprise Editions of Operations Sentinel, the user interface used to view and update security access is visible to SPO Administrators only. SPO Administrators are granted access regardless of the permission.

Basic Edition

Basic Edition does not provide the ability to restrict access to any managed objects defined in Operations Sentinel Console.
