For each managed class, the administrator can specify a threshold for each user property. Each threshold includes the following information:
Threshold condition that can include regular expressions and Boolean logic. This provides the default threshold condition for objects of that class. When the property value satisfies the threshold condition, an alert is raised. When the value no longer satisfies the condition, the alert is cleared.
Severity of the alert to be raised.
Identifier of the alert to be raised.
Text of the alert to be raised. This text allows substitution of values, such as the identifier of the object, property name, and property value.
In addition to the threshold information supplied at the class level, the administrator can specify a distinct severity and threshold condition for each object instance, which overrides any default supplied at the class level. When the property value satisfies the threshold condition for the object, an alert is raised. When the value no longer satisfies the condition, the alert is cleared.
