Operations Sentinel allows multiple levels of views or subviews. The filter condition of a parent view does not limit membership in its subviews, so that a subview can contain objects not in the parent view. However, the parent view includes alerts for all objects it contains and all objects its subviews contain. Subviews provide the means for designating collective images in a topology.

Beginning with Operations Sentinel level 11.0, folders are no longer provided since a view with no filter provides the same capability as a folder.
