Configuring Operations Sentinel Trap Service

To configure the Operations Sentinel Trap Service settings, perform the following steps:

  1. Click Start, Programs, Control Panel, Administrative Tools, and then Services.

    The Services window appears.

    Note: Open the Services in 32 bit mode.

  2. Right-click Operations Sentinel Trap, and then in the shortcut menu, click Properties.

  3. In the dialog box that appears, select the Configuration tab and enter the Port Number.

  4. Under Network Configuration, select the check box to make it a secure connection. If the check box is not selected, it is a non-secure connection. When secure check box is selected, it uses SNMP V3 using TCP protocol.

    Note: The UDP Protocol is selected by default.

  5. Select between UDP and TCP Protocol.

    Note: By default, it uses UDP Protocol.

  6. Click OK.
