Dorado systems could be using Server Sentinel. If the Server Sentinel Management Server software is installed on the Operations Sentinel server, alerts from Server Sentinel are passed to Operations Sentinel. The access roles of Operations Sentinel and Server Sentinel are coordinated to ensure a user has comparable rights to each.
In Operations Sentinel, members of the Sentinel Operators role are given the same privileges as the SPO Users role and Administrators are given the same privileges as the SPO Administrators role. In Server Sentinel, the Security Manager assigns the SPO Administrators group to the Administrators role and the SPO Users group to the Sentinel Operators role.
When you install Operations Sentinel, it detects the presence of Server Sentinel and correctly sets the appropriate file security permissions. However, if you install Server Sentinel Server after you install Operations Sentinel, you must run the Reset Operations Sentinel File Security utility. The utility resets the file security permissions to allow user accounts in the Sentinel Operators user group to access the Operations Sentinel server from the workstation.
To run the Reset Operations Sentinel File Security utility at the completion of Sentinel Server installation, click Start, Programs, Operations Sentinel x.y.z, Administrative Tools, and then Reset File Security. This utility resets the security setting of the Operations Sentinel file shares and the installation folder to the correct value, depending on the presence of the local user groups. If Server Sentinel is installed on an Operations Sentinel server, this program allows user accounts in the Sentinel Operators user group to access the Operations Sentinel server.
