Specific Logs

This table lists the different logs maintained by Operations Sentinel and the sources of messages and event reports written to them. Each log applies to all types of managed systems, unless specific types are listed under Applicable Systems.

Contains miscellaneous errors detected by the Operations Sentinel event server. For example, syntax errors in event reports submitted through spo_pipe.

Contains Distribute actions and errors from both the command line interface and Autoaction Database Manager.

 

SP-AMS

SP-AMS

Contains database activation, deactivation, trace, and debug information, and error conditions from SP-AMS.

MCP UNIX Linux

SP-COMMAND

Operations Sentinel command processing

Contains results from CO event reports received by Operations Sentinel.

 

SP-EAI

Alert policy

Contains the results, including any errors, from the execution of each alert policy action.

 

SP-EXTAPP

External application

Contains the command string, environment variables, and completion code for each launch of an external application.

 

SP-OBJECTEVENTS

Operations Sentinel Runtime Server

Contains error messages and optional traces for object event activity, specifically the receipt of AC and DE event reports and the dynamic creation of objects.

 

CP-AMS

CP-AMS

Contains messages for syntax errors in event reports sent to Operations Sentinel from CP-AMS running ClearPath OS 2200 system consoles.

SP-SPALS

Operations Sentinel Alert Server

Contains alert event reports received by Operations Sentinel and any errors found in them.

Operations Sentinel Logging

Records maintenance activities, such as file cleanup.

Contains diagnostics reported by the Operations Sentinel Logging service.

Contains messages pertaining to Operations Sentinel itself, including any notifications of service interruption.
