The traffic pane shows system traffic messages, responses to messages in the order they were received, and echoes of other unsolicited command input. The following types of messages appear in the traffic pane:
Read-only. These informational messages typically require no action or reply.
Read-and-reply. These messages might require action and do require a reply.
Read-alert. These messages typically require an action but no reply.
Supplemental messages supplied by the autoaction database. These messages supplement or substitute for messages sent to the console by the OS 2200 Exec or OS 2200 partition applications. Supplemental messages are indented 2 characters from the left window margin for easy identification.
Echo messages. These messages reflect the text of unsolicited commands entered in the command line of an active OS 2200 Console View session and sent to the logical console.
The traffic pane holds up to 10,000 messages (the default is 255 messages). When the pain is full, the oldest message is removed to make room for the newest one. New messages appear at the bottom of the pane and scroll toward the top. You can use the scroll bar to view messages that are no longer visible.
