On a single workstation, you can open one or more instances of OS 2200 Console View. Although each instance of OS 2200 Console View can open only one view at a time, each instance can connect to the same or different logical consoles.

More than one view, including views with input capability, can be open to the same logical console simultaneously. Echoes (resulting from commands) and system responses are visible in every view, regardless of where the input originated.  

When two operators, using their own views, try to answer a read-and-reply message at the same time, a race condition occurs. The response that reaches the logical console first is the response sent to the host. All views see both echoed responses and the resulting error from the rejected response.
