Copying Text from a Pane

You can copy a portion of a message, one or more messages, or the entire contents of a pane and paste it into another Windows application such as Notepad or Word. You can also copy text and paste it into the command line.

To copy text to the command line or another application

  1. Select the text you want to copy. Use standard Windows techniques for selecting text.

  2. Press Ctrl+C. The text is copied to the Windows Clipboard.

  3. To paste the text into the command line, position the cursor in the command line and press Ctrl+V .The text appears in the command line.

    To paste the text into another application, open the application and use standard Windows procedures for pasting the text into the application.

Note: You can copy text from only one pane at a time.
