Suspending Message Delivery

OS 2200 Console View allows you to temporarily stop message delivery to a pane. OS 2200 Console View buffers the messages until you resume message delivery. Suspending message delivery makes it easier to read a message because it is not scrolling across the screen. It also lets you use the scroll bar to view messages that are not visible.

To suspend message delivery

  1. Place the cursor in the pane where you want to suspend message delivery.

  2. Click the left mouse button.

To resume message delivery

  1. Place the cursor in another pane, the command line, or the window of another application.

  2. Click the left mouse button.

Note: The status bar displays the number of messages that are waiting for the resumption of message delivery.

OS 2200 Console View automatically resumes message delivery when you remove focus from the pane (by clicking the cursor in another pane or on the command line) or it reaches either of two user-configurable values:

You configure these values in the Options dialog box.
