Macros and macro generators must be located in the Operations Sentinel data folder (installation-data-folder\os2200-macros). Permissions for the folder are as follows:
Members of the SPO Administrators group have full access.
Members of the SPO Users group have read and execute access only.
Members of the Administrators group have full access.
The SYSTEM account has full access.
See your site administrator to obtain the correct privileges on the server.
SPO Administrators are responsible for defining a list of available OS 2200 macros and macro generators for each partition. SPO Users are only allowed to execute OS 2200 macros and macro generators as determined by the list corresponding to the partition of the console connected to the OS 2200 Console View.
Other security considerations include
Only a member of the SPO Administrators group can save macros and macro generators.
If OS 2200 Console View is in read-only mode, Macro and Macro Generator on the Tools menu are disabled.
Although multiple instances of the Macro Editor can open the same macro, only the first instance that opened the macro can save it to the Operations Server. Subsequent instances of the Macro Editor can execute the macro, modify the macro, or save the macro under a different name.
Macros and macro generators can be restricted to specific partitions using Macro Maintenance in OS 2200 Console Manager. See the OS 2200 Console Manager Help for more information.
Macros and macro generators are not available across firewalls that are configured to block network traffic to ports 139 and 445 on the Operations Server.
