When you use a terminal/communications server to connect to a managed system, the network name and Internet address of the terminal/communications server must be specified in the systems file (SystemFolder\drivers\etc\hosts) on the Operations Sentinel server, in the Domain Name Server (DNS) or Windows Internet Naming Service (WINS).

When you use TELNET or Secure Shell to connect to a managed system, you must specify the network name and Internet address of the system in the systems file on the Operations Sentinel server, in the Domain Name Server or Windows Internet Naming Service.
