Some terminal/communication server systems, such as the ATS/NAS, require an external computer system on which the server stores its configuration and from which it loads its operating system.This section describes the necessary port configuration required for Operations Sentinel to connect to its serial ports for managing the attached system.

Although the configuration is described in terms of the ATS/NAS, you must take similar actions for other terminal/communication servers that maintain their configurations and operating systems on other systems.

Regardless of the type of terminal/communications server utilized in your Operations Sentinel environment, remember that you must configure each port to have a TELNET listener active and be able to accept connection requests from the LAN.
