Operations Sentinel uses serial I/O to communicate with a managed system. This requires that several parameters in the devices at each end of the connection match before you can successfully transfer information. You can change the values at either end of the connection.
Following is a list of the most critical communication parameters and their default values:
Parameter | Default Value |
Baud rate in bits per second | 9600 |
Character size in bits | 8 |
Parity, and if used, odd or even | None |
Number of bits to mark the end of a character | 1 |
