Operations Sentinel Console is the principal client application of Operations Sentinel. It is the main user interface for operators to manage the various systems from a single workstation. Operations Sentinel Console provides the following capabilities:
Topological displays of the systems you are managing. The status of each system, partition, and connection is indicated graphically.
Enables you to open console windows, terminal windows, and remote desktops for the managed systems and partitions easily.
Enables you to launch site-defined external applications for the managed systems and partitions easily.
Alerts icons that summarize the alert states of the managed systems and partitions. The appearance of these alerts icons indicates the presence and severity of the outstanding alerts.
An Alerts Window that lists all outstanding alerts. You can select which alert attributes should appear in this window, clear and acknowledge the alerts, and display detailed information about them.
Tables that depict utilization properties for managed systems in real-time.
The means to specify thresholds for system utilization properties, so that an alert is raised automatically when the value of a property goes out of acceptable range.
The means to initiate other client applications of Operations Sentinel.
