Distributing a database copies the database to the Operations Sentinel servers specified in the Target Systems list in the Distribute tab in the RHC.rml10_2\a dialog box. This simplifies copying databases to systems or consoles where they can be activated. Autoaction Database Manager allows you to copy SMART AMS, CP-AMS, and SP-AMS databases to Windows Operations Sentinel servers
Prerequisite
Specify at least one target system in RHC.rml10_6\a.
To distribute a database
Use one of the following methods:
Right-click on the project in the tree and click Distribute Database.
Click the Distribute icon on the utility bar.
Click Distribute Database on the Tools menu.
Press F4.
The last three methods distribute the active project.
After you have selected to distribute the database, Autoaction Database Manager displays the Security Server Selection dialog box. The Security Server Selection dialog box signifies where distribute traces go and where to obtain permission to distribute a database.
To distribute a database to the target systems, you must be a member of the SPO Users group on one of the servers in the list. Highlight the server on which you want Autoaction Database Manager to verify your privileges and clickOK.
If you are a member of the SPO Users group on that server, the Autoaction Database Manager copies the database to all the consoles and servers in the target system list.
Notes:
If a database with the same name already exists on the console or the server, Autoaction Database Manager asks if you want to overwrite it. In addition, Autoaction Database Manager creates a backup before overwriting the original version.
The Autoaction Database Manager displays an error message if you don't have access to the server you selected in the Security Server Selection dialog box. Have the server administrator add your user-id to the SPO Users group.
While the Database Maintenance window is open, the Distribute Database command, the Distribute button on the utility bar, and the shortcut key are unavailable.
