Verifying a database is a function that helps you test pattern-matching and action generation. By using an input file of messages along with a database you can
Verify that the messages match (or do not match) the Autoaction Database patterns intended.
Identify messages that match a single pattern to reflect AMS run-time behavior.
Identify messages that match multiple patterns. All patterns are listed in match order so you can predict AMS run-time behavior.
Provide exception listings of messages that do not match the specified number of database patterns.
Display the actions (by operation mode) that will result from each pattern matched.
To verify a database either
Right-click the project in the tree to display and click Verify Database.
Click the Verify icon on the utility bar.
Click Verify Database on the Tools menu.
Press F3.
The last three methods verify the active project.
To stop database verification before it completes either
Click Stop Utility on the Tools menu.
Click the Stop Utility icon in the utility bar.
Press Ctrl+F2.
Notes:
The Stop Utility command is unavailable if a build, verify, or dump is not in progress.
Do not verify a database until you specify your project settings and options correctly.
While the Database Maintenance window is open, the Verify Database command, the Verify button on the utility bar, and the shortcut key are unavailable.
