The Verify tab contains options for generating Activation or Deactivation Database Messages, a format of your input files, and the list of input files and their order.
Activation
Selecting Activation for SMART AMS and CP-AMS databases generates a database activation message simulating the initial activation that AMS performs when the console is booted and acquired by the OS 2200 system. This message is processed after the database is opened by the Verify function, but before any messages from the input file are processed.
Selecting Activation for SP-AMS databases generates an automation initialization message and a database activation message simulating the initial activation that occurs when the SP-AMS background process is first started. These messages are processed after the database is opened by the Verify function, but before any messages from the input file are processed.
Deactivation
Selecting Deactivation generates a database deactivation message simulating the database deactivation AMS performs when the database is deactivated through AMS Utility for SMART AMS databases or through OS 2200 Console View for CP-AMS databases. This message is processed when the database is deactivated after all the messages from the input files are processed.
Selecting Deactivation for SP-AMS databases generates an automation termination message, followed by a database deactivation message that simulates the database deactivation SP-AMS performs when the database is deactivated in Operations Sentinel Console.
Input File Format
Input File Format denotes the format of the input file. Valid values for format are BADB (for BADB syntax files), SPOLOG (for Operations Sentinel Console log files), and TEXT (for straight message text, as seen on system console).
BADB is the default.
Input File/Usage Order
The verify function allows you to process multiple input files. The files must all have the same input format (BADB, SPOLOG, or TEXT). Use the Add and Remove buttons to add and remove files from the Input File list. Change the order of usage of these files by using the Move Up and Move Down buttons.
