This section describes operating modes of OS 2200 system consoles and how to change them using OM keyins (commands).

The system operator changes the system-operating mode by entering an unsolicited OM keyin from the system console in the system operation display session. The operator can optionally use OS 2200 Console View to construct an OM keyin by clicking Tools/Automation Control in console window, then clicking the Operation Mode tab in the Automation Control dialog. The OM keyin is also available for use by a demand terminal user who has the full remote console (@@CONS) privilege or by application programs using the RSI$ interface.
