The following is an example of a typical CP-AMS activation error:
LG $AMS-DB $ ATTEMPTED ACTIVATION OF SHIFT1 BY DATABASE BOOT1 LG $AMS-ERR $ DATABASE SHIFT1 DOES NOT EXIST LG $AMS-DB $ DATABASE BOOT1 REMAINS ACTIVE
In this example, the active database BOOT1 attempted to activate database SHIFT1 as a result of an activate action. The attempt failed when SHIFT1 could not be found on the hard disk in the Operations Server. CP-AMS continues to process the message using database BOOT1.
In the next example, the operator using OS 2200 Console View requested activation of database SHIFT2. An I/O error occurred reading SHIFT2 from the Operations Server mass storage and the activation request failed. Since no database was previously active, CP-AMS continues to process default actions only.
LG $AMS-DB $ ATTEMPTED ACTIVATION OF SHIFT1 BY SPOWRK.Oper LG $AMS-ERR $ DATABASE SHIFT2 COULD NOT BEFREAD LG $AMS-DB $ NO DATABASE ACTIVE
