The following is an example of a typical CP-AMS run-time action error:
LG $AMS-ACTN$ AMS AUTO-ACTION FAILED - INFORMATIO FFOLLOWS LG $AMS-MTCH$ GROUPF= ’DB-SWITCH’ NBRF= 1 LG $AMS-MSGF$ SWITCH TO AMS DATABASE SHIFT#1 LG $AMS-ERRF$ INVALID DATABASE LG $AMS-ACTV$ \_TOKEN5\
In this example, a user message was matched in the active database and an ACTIVATE action was included in the matching pattern. However, text substitution resulted in an invalid CP-AMS database name for the ACTIVATE action. Therefore, the ACTIVATE action was rejected. Any other actions included in the matched pattern were successfully completed.
Assume that the previous example occurred in Test mode. Also assume that a SUPPRESS action as well as the ACTIVATE action was included in the pattern that matched the message. The resulting debug/error message output would be
LG $AMS-MTCH$ GROUP = ’DB-SWITCH’, NBR = 1 LG $AMS-MSG $ SWITCH TO AMS DATABASE SHIFT#1 LG $AMS-SPRS$ LG $AMS-ERR $ INVALID DATABASE NAME LG $AMS-ACTV$ \_TOKEN5\
Note that the $AMS-ACTN$ message, and therefore the general alarm, is not issued in Test mode.
