When the OS 2200 console releases a message from the read-and-reply pane, it generates an internal read-and-reply release message, similar to the database activation and deactivation messages, and passes it to CP-AMS for pattern matching and action processing.
Restrictions
The read-and-reply release message is not displayed in the traffic pane of the console display. For this reason, CP-AMS actions DISPLAY, HOLD, RELEASE, and SUPPRESS cannot be executed.
Text of the Read Release Message
AMS004: Read-and-reply message response-number answered. RRID = rrid
where:
response-number
is the response number associated with the read-and-reply message and displayed in the read-and-reply pane.
rrid
is the unique read-and-reply identifier (RRID) of the released read-and-reply message. The RRID is an 8-character string assigned by the system console to each read-and-reply message.
The OS 2200 Console releases a read-and-reply message from the read-and-reply pane after the console is notified by the OS 2200 operating system that a valid response was received for the read-and-reply message.
When the read-and-reply messages are removed from the read-and-reply pane in cases of initialization (for example, the console is recovered by the operating system) or termination, the messages are not considered released and no read-and-reply release messages are generated.
If you need to take actions when the console is acquired, you can match the database activation message from database activation that occurs as a part of CP-AMS initialization.
