Matching Initialization Messages from TELNET and rlogin Sessions

You can automate the login procedure for hosts connected by TELNET and rlogin sessions. When the session is established, the Operations Sentinel server receives messages that request a user-id or login, and a password. You can define a pattern to match these system messages and automate the sending of a command to the host with the user-id or login, and password. For multiple hosts that have different user-ids, logins, and passwords, you can use a hostid token as part of the message-matching criteria to send the correct login information, as explained in 7.2.2.
