A SUPPRESS action prevents display of the matched message in the traffic and hold panes of OS 2200 Console View. This action does not block read-and-reply messages from the read-and-reply pane nor does it block text displayed using the DISPLAY action (see 4.10). Only one SUPPRESS action is allowed per operating mode per pattern.

A SUPPRESS action can also suppress the message from being written to the Operations Sentinel host log file. See the OS 2200 Console Server Utility for more information.
