CP-AMS Considerations

Environment

CP-AMS is part of each OS 2200 logical console. Each OS 2200 logical console has its own active database and automation environment.

Control of Automation

CP-AMS executes actions in response to system messages whenever the OS 2200 logical console is on-line. The operator using OS 2200 Console View can control the operating mode, and can activate and deactivate CP-AMS databases using the Automation Control dialog. The operating mode can also be controlled from any console session for the partition using the OM keyin. See Appendix E.

Operating Modes

AMS operating modes control the actions that CP-AMS takes. There are three modes: attended, casual, and unattended. Within these modes, there are various options that control the actions AMS takes when the console message does not match a pattern in the database. The debug option is also available for testing.
