The status bar of Operations Sentinel Console at the bottom of the Operations Sentinel Console window gives continuous readout of certain key pieces of information, using text and icons. This information includes the
The number of items in the display pane, and the number of those items that you have selected.
Active autoaction database, if any.
Active alert policy, if any.
Most severe alert in the open zone, if any.
To show or hide the status bar
Click Status Bar on the View menu.
ToolTips
ToolTips provide a text version of each icon and its current state. To see a tip, rest the mouse cursor over the desired icon.
Fields on the Status Bar
The status bar displays the following information (from left to right):
Selected Items
The number of items in the display pane, and the number of those items that you have selected.
Autoaction Database
Displays whether automation is active on the Operations Sentinel server. View the ToolTip for this icon to see the name of the active SP-AMS database (if any).
Icon | Description |
| A database is active. |
| No database is active. |
| The automation service is not running; SP-AMS automation is unavailable. |
Active Alert Policy
Displays whether there is an active alert policy. View the ToolTip for this icon to see the name of the active alert policy (if any).
Icon | Description |
| An alert policy is active. |
| No alert policy is active. |
| The alert policy service is not running; external alert actions are not available. |
Alerts
Indicates the most severe unseen alert for the open zone. View the ToolTip for this icon to see the number of alerts of each severity.
