The following table describes the properties displayed for each managed class in the details pane. Use this table to help you interpret and enter data in the details pane.

Base Class | Indicates the class that this class extended from. If blank, this class is not derived from another class. If you change this property, any managed objects and derived classes based on this class are removed. |
Default Action | Indicates the action that is launched when you double-click a managed object or press Enter while it is selected in a table or topology. This property provides the default action for every managed object of this class that has already been defined, as well as those that you define later. However, you can specify another value for an individual managed object. Use the arrow ( See Setting the Default Action for a Class for information on setting the Default Action for each object class. |

Dynamic Population | Indicates, when True, that objects of this class are created dynamically by AC event reports, and deleted dynamically by DE event reports. Use the arrow ( |
Image | Displays the image that represents each managed object of this class in a topology. Operations Sentinel provides a default image for each class. However, you can select a different custom image for the class, if you choose. To select a different default image, click the

Managed Object Count | Displays the number of managed objects defined for this class. |
Object Class | Displays the name of this class. If you change this property, any managed objects and derived classes based on this class are removed. |
Persist | Controls whether or not dynamically created objects in this class, by default, are retained when the Operations Sentinel Services are terminated. You can override this value for specific objects in this class. Use the arrow ( |
Reinitialize | Controls whether or not dynamically created objects in this class are automatically deleted when the managed system containing them reestablishes a connection to the Operations Sentinel server. Use

Timeout Period
| Indicates the time, in seconds, that an event report must be received for an object in this class, or the object is automatically deleted. Applies only to objects that are created dynamically. A value of 0 indicates that objects in this class do not time out. Click the timeout value in the Timeout Period property and enter a new value. |
