The Network Name property specifies the Internet name of the managed OS 2200 JProcessor and QProcessor systems, or the terminal/communications server used to connect it to the Operations Sentinel server. The network name must be included in the hosts file on the Operations Sentinel server, in the Domain Name Server, or in the Windows Internet Naming Service.
The Name, Network Name, External Network Name, and Host ID (configured in the JProcessor or QProcessor Admin Console) must all be the same to be able to monitor and manage the JProcessor or QProcessor.
To change the network name
Under the Managed Objects node in the navigation pane, click OS 2200 JProcessor or QProcessor Systems.
In the display pane, click the desired systems.
In the details pane, change the Network Name property to the desired name. The Network Name property value must be unique; another OS2200 JProcessor or QProcessor system cannot have the same network name. The name can have a maximum of 64 characters. The first character must be a letter and the last character must be a letter or a digit. The remainder can be letters, digits, hyphens, underscores, or periods. This name is not case-sensitive.
Note: The network name is the same name as the network name specified in the Specialty Partition Administration Console for the system.
