Deactivating an alert policy prevents execution of any actions for any subsequent alert event reports. Actions that are in progress are allowed to complete.
To deactivate an alert policy
In the navigation pane, expand the Alert Policies node.
Select the currently active alert policy and click Deactivate on the Action menu.
