Zones and Launch Definitions
The launch definitions for external applications you create using Operations Sentinel Console are global across all Operations Sentinel zones. This means that the launch definitions you create are available to a user of Operations Sentinel Console regardless of the zone the user has selected.
To create a new launch definition using the wizard
Select the External Applications node in the navigation pane.
Click New Application on the File menu.
The Add New External Application wizard appears.
The wizard takes you through the process of entering information needed to launch the external application. After you create the new launch definition, you can edit the properties of the launch definition in the details pane.
You can test your changes before you save them. Once your external application works properly, save your changes to make it available to all users.
To copy an existing launch definition
Select the launch definition you want to copy and use the Copy and Paste commands on the Edit menu to copy the launch definition. The new launch definition appears with the name "Copy of launch-definition." Rename the launch definition in the details pane and make any other necessary changes to its properties.
Notes:
You can select, copy, and paste multiple launch definitions at one time.
You can also copy launch definitions to another Operations Sentinel server by opening a second instance of Operations Sentinel Console for the other Operations Sentinel server, copying launch definitions from the first instance, and pasting them into the second instance.
