Changing OS 2200 Console Logging Options

For each console associated with an OS 2200 system, you can control whether continuous display messages from the console are logged. This property does not affect the logging of other console messages, which is controlled by the Enabled property.  The continuous display messages in OS 2200 consoles are written to the same log file as all of the other messages for the OS 2200 system.

When Operations Sentinel is installed and the Operations Sentinel Server services are initiated, logging of continuous display messages from OS 2200 consoles is turned off by default.

To enable logging of continuous display messages from an OS 2200 system console

  1. Expand the Log Policies node.

  2. Select the desired log from the navigation pane. The log sources for that log are displayed in the display pane.

  3. In the display pane, select the desired log source(s) (all must be OS 2200 consoles).

  4. In the details pane, use the arrow () to change the False value to True in the Continuous Display property. Any changes you make appear in bold until you save them.

  5. Save your changes to enable logging of continuous display messages for the source.

Logging of OS 2200 system console continuous display messages occurs only if a connection between Operations Sentinel and the console is active.
