In addition to the environment variables supplied for all external applications, the following environment variables are provided when an external application is launched from a managed object.

| SP_CONSOLE_SERVER | Network name or IP address of the device used to remotely access the system console (only applies to Windows, UNIX, and Linux systems). | 
| SP_HOST_CLASS | System type of the host system. | 
| SP_HOST_SERVER | Name of the server to which the managed object belongs. | 
| SP_NAME **SP_INSTANCE **SP_HOST_LABEL | Name of the managed object. | 
| SP_HOST | Name of the host system to which the managed object belongs. | 
| SP_EXTERNAL_NETWORK_NAME **SP_HOST_NETWORK_NAME | External network name of the host system to which the object belongs. | 
| SP_PRIMARY_SP | Network name of the primary service processor. | 
| SP_SENTINEL_SERVER | Network name of the Server Sentinel server. | 
| SP_TAG | The value of the Tag property. | 
**These environment variables are retained for compatibility until Operations Sentinel level 12.0. If a Command String or application executable currently refers to one of these environment variables, you should update it to use the new name.
