The count for each alert severity can be displayed to the right of each alert icon. These counts are listed from most severe to least severe. These counts are displayed in the same colors used to indicate severity in the Alerts window. For example, all major alerts are displayed in an orange count box since the major alert icon is orange. Only alerts that you have not marked as Seen are included in these counts. Counts of zero are not displayed.
In an Alerts window, to show or hide the alert severity count either
Click Severity Counts on the View menu.
Right-click in the summary pane and click Severity Counts from the shortcut menu.
