Configuring ClearPath OS 2200 Software Series System

To configure a new ClearPath OS 2200 Software Series system, perform the following steps:

  1. Open the Administration mode of Operations Sentinel on the server.

  2. On the Tools menu, select OS 2200 SW SERIES.

    The ClearPath OS 2200 Software Series system window appears. This window contains the following three panes:

    • Tree View pane

    • Configuration pane

    • Data pane

  3. From the Tree View pane, select a partition.

    The relevant configuration information will be displayed in the data table present in the Data pane.

  4. To add a second partition to the system, click Add in the OS 2200 Partition area of the Configuration pane.

    Notes:

    • To delete a partition, right-click on the specific partition in the Tree View pane and select Delete.

    • You can add a maximum of ten partitions.

  5. To add a Soft Tape Manager (STM), click Add in the left corner of the Soft Tape Manager and Operation Server area in the Configuration pane.

    Note: You can add a maximum of two STMs.

  6. To add an Operation Server (OPSRV), click Add in the right corner of the Soft Tape Manager and Operation Server area in the Configuration pane.

    Note: You can add a maximum of two Operation Server. By default, only one Operation Server will be present.

  7. Click OK

    Note: To view a topological view of the configured objects, click the Click to See Topology View link in the lower left corner.
