Using the Servers Table

Use this table to help you monitor all servers included in the open zone.

The Servers table provides the following information:

Column

Description

Name

The name by which the server is known within Operations Sentinel. The name is also used in alerts and log files to identify the server.

Primary Service Processor

Displays the name of the primary Service Processor, if any.

Server Sentinel Server

Indicates the Windows system or partition that hosts Server Sentinel for the server, if any. < None > indicates that the Server Sentinel software is on the primary Service Processor. If the Server Sentinel value is < None > and the Primary Service Processor value is < None >, then you cannot launch Server Sentinel for the server from the Tools menu.

Identifier

The name of an object preceded by the names of the objects that contain it. For example, the identifier of a system in a server is <server> . <system>

Tag

A property that your site uses however it chooses. It is often used as an identifier to make filtering of servers easier.
