Example of Excluding a Specific Event

This example shows how to exclude events with identifier UMsgVMMM:104.

  1. In the Windows Filter Policy window, click Add Source on the Edit menu. The Add Source dialog box appears.

  2. Enter UMsgVMMM in the Selection field.

  3. Click Create. The new event source appears in the Windows Filter Policy window.

  4. Click the row containing the new event source to select it.

  5. Click Modify Source on the Edit menu. A Modify Event Source dialog box appears.

  6. In the Error field, select the option Exclude.

  7. Enter 104 as the Event ID to be excluded.

  8. Click OK.
