Enabling the Windows Agent on a System

Each value in the Enabled column of the Windows Agent Control window indicates whether the corresponding system should forward events to Operations Sentinel as alert event reports. When you want a previously disabled Windows Agent to resume sending alert event reports to Operations Sentinel, you must enable the Windows Agent and update it.

To enable the agent on a Windows system

  1. Click the row in the Windows Agent Control window that contains the system whose Windows Agent you want to enable.

  2. Click Enable Agent(s) on the Edit menu. The value in the Enabled column changes to Yes, and the value in the Current column changes to No.

  3. Click Update Selected Agents on the File menu. The value in the Current column changes to Yes.
