Setting the Monitor Property

Set the Monitor property to indicate whether Operations Sentinel should monitor a particular OS 2200 console, MCP system, UNIX system, Linux system, Windows system, or Operations Server.

To enable or disable monitoring of a system

  1. Under the Managed Objects node, click the desired class (MCP System, OS 2200 Console, UNIX/Linux System, OS 2200 JProcessor, QProcessor, Windows System, or Operations Server).

  2. In the display pane, click the desired system(s) or console(s).

  3. In the details pane, use the arrow in the Monitor property to select either

    • True

      Monitoring is enabled.

    • False

      Monitoring is disabled.

    Any change you make appears in bold.

  4. Save your changes. The new value appears in the details pane and immediately affects the monitoring of the system.
