Topology Textbox Properties

The following table describes the properties displayed in the details pane for a Topology Textbox. Use this table to help you interpret and enter data in the details pane.

Name

Indicates the name by which the Topology Textbox is known within Operations Sentinel.

You can rename a Topology Textbox by editing this property. The name of the new Topology Textbox

  • Cannot be more than 64 characters in length

  • Cannot contain any of the following characters: \ / : * ? ″ < > |

  • Cannot start with a period (.)

Auto Size

Automatically resizes the Textbox. Use the arrow () in the Auto Size property to select either True or False.

While setting the Auto Size attribute as True, size attribute values are not applicable and must be ignored.

While setting the Auto Size attribute as False, size attribute must be set for the desired results.

However, default value of Auto Size property is set to True.

Size

Indicates size of the Topology Textbox excluding the border. You can enter the desired width and height.

Size of the Textbox grows horizontally (Single line) when Auto Size=True. However when Auto Size=False, text can be displayed in multiple lines by setting the attribute Text Style= WordBreak.

Textbox with larger values (for example, height: 200 and width: 300) affects the performance of the Operations Sentinel Console.

Visible

Indicates the current status of visibility of Topology Textbox instance. Use the arrow ( ) in the Visible property to select either True or False depending on whether the Topology Textbox should be visible or hidden.

Default value of Visible property is set to True.

Border Color

Indicates the color of the border. Use the arrow () to open the color dialog and choose the desired color.

The default value of the Border Color property is set to Red or (255,0,0).

Border Style

Indicates the style of the border. Use the arrow () in the Border Style property to select the desired Border Style from the drop-down list.

Default value of Border Style property is Solid.

Border Width

Indicates the width of the border in pixels. You can enter the desired value for setting the Border Width of the Textbox.

The value of Border Width property ranges from one to 99.

Background Color

Indicates the background color of the Topology Textbox instance. Use the arrow () to open the color dialog and choose the desired color.

Default value of Background Color property is White or (255,255,255).

Font

Specifies the Font, Font Style, Size, and other properties. Click the ellipsis () button to open the font dialog and choose the desired values. Additionally, the following properties can be set in the details pane:

  • Name: Use the arrow () to select the desired value.

  • Size: Enter the desired value for setting the size.

  • Unit: Use the arrow () in the Unit property to choose the desired value.

  • Bold: Use the arrow () to select either True or False.

  • GdiCharSet: Enter the desired value for setting the GdiCharSet.

  • GdiVerticalFont: Use the arrow () to select either True or False.

  • Italic: Use the arrow () to select either True or False.

  • Strikeout: Use the arrow () to select either True or False.

  • Underline: Use the arrow () to select either True or False.

Default value of Font Style is GenericSans Serif and Font Size is 8.5

Foreground Color

Indicates the Foreground Color of the Topology Textbox. Use the arrow () to open the color dialog and choose the desired color.

Default value of Foreground Color property is Black or (0,0,0).

String

Indicates that the Topology Text is in String format.

Default value of String property is Textbox.

Text Style

Indicates the Style of the text. Use the arrow () in the Text Style property to select the desired value.

Default value of Text Style property is GlyphOverhangPaddingTYPE.
