Using the keyboard to navigate menus

Each menu in the Operations Sentinel Log Viewer menu bar has one letter underlined. To open a menu with the keyboard, type the underlined letter while holding down the Alt key. Similarly, each menu item has one letter underlined. Once a menu is open, simply type the underlined letter. For example, Alt+F+O opens the Select a Log dialog box.

Using keyboard shortcuts

Some menu items, such as Find, have keyboard shortcuts that allow you to select the item without first opening its menu. The key sequence appears to the right of the name of the menu item (and in the table below). For example, Ctrl+F means hold down the Ctrl key and press F.

Use these keyboard shortcuts to avoid having to open menus and select menu items.
