The system state pane is, by default, the top pane in the OS 2200 Console View window. It displays the state information that the Exec sends in continuous display messages to the OS 2200 logical console.
The Exec continuously monitors the state of the OS 2200 partition. Every 6 seconds it sends a continuous display message to the OS 2200 logical console with information about the partition's state.
To display the entire continuous display message requires 4 lines. By default, OS 2200 Console View displays only 2 lines of the message at a time. Every 6 seconds it switches between the first 2 and the last 2 lines of the message. If desired, you can configure OS 2200 Console View to display all 4 lines of the message.
To specify a 4-line display
Click Properties on the File menu. The View Properties dialog box appears.
Select the Pane tab.
In the Display Format field, select 4-line display.
Click OK to change the display format and close the dialog box. Click Apply to change the display format but leave the dialog box open for other changes.
System State Fields
See the Exec Operations Reference Manualfor descriptions of the system state fields. The state fields might vary, depending on the system type, Exec configuration, and so on.
