The current view identifies a specific console and the Operations Server that hosts the console. You can edit the macros for this console’s partition on this Operations Server only.
To edit a macro
Open a view to a console if one is not already open.
Click Macros on the Tools menu. A menu of macros for this console’s partition on the Operations Server appears.
Click the name of the macro you want to edit.
The Macro Editor opens the macro and displays its commands in the workspace.
Modify the commands in the workspace as needed.
Execute the macro and/or save the macro. You must be a member of the SPO Administrators group to save a macro. Any changes to the macro are lost if you do not save it.
Read-Only Mode
If another user of OS 2200 Console View already has opened this macro, the Macro Editor opens your instance as read-only. In read-only mode
The words "Read-Only" appear in the title bar after the macro name.
You can edit and execute the macro.
You cannot save the macro with its current name but you can save it under a different name.
Notes:
To edit a macro on a different Operations Server, open a view to a console that is hosted on that Operations Server.
Each command line in the workspace must be 69 characters or fewer. The workspace can contain only printable ASCII characters.
