An OS 2200 console provides automation of OS 2200 console events (represented by console messages) through the ClearPath Plus OS 2200 Autoaction Message System (CP-AMS). CP-AMS compares console messages against message patterns stored in an autoaction database. CP-AMS uses a CP-AMS autoaction database. When a console message matches a pattern, CP-AMS executes the set of actions associated with the pattern.
Automation for a logical console is independent of other logical consoles. Therefore, each console can activate the same autoaction database or a different one without affecting other consoles on the Operations Server.
Databases are built from Build AMS Database (BADB) source code that you create using your favorite editor or word processor. BADB source code files are grouped together in a project that Autoaction Database Manager (ADBM) maintains. The Autoaction Database Manager builds, dumps, and verifies CP-AMS and SP-AMS databases.
The autoaction databases used by CP-AMS are stored in the sp-data- folder \os2200-ams folder on the Operations Server that hosts the console.
