Windows Application Event Log
OS 2200 Console View writes to the Windows application event log only if an event occurs for which you can take corrective action. These messages are informational and might provide you with the information needed to correct the error if necessary. The format of the entry is "VCV- pid ," where pid is the process identification number assigned by the operating system, for example, VCV-303.
Debug File
Each execution of OS 2200 Console View creates its own debug file for recording error and trace messages. Console options control the trace volume and detail that OS 2200 Console View produces. Use Operations Sentinel Diagnostic Utility to manage this information. You can set diagnostic parameters or remove trace files that are no longer necessary.
To help diagnose possible problems or issues with managing your systems using Operations Sentinel, use the Report Problem utility. You access this utility from the Start menu, point to Programs, Unisys Operations Sentinel x.y.z, Administrative Tools, and then click Report Problems. You can also access Report Problems from Operations Sentinel Console.
Based on the symptoms and, if you want, with help from Unisys Operations Sentinel technical support, you can choose which diagnostic information to include in the problem report. The Report Problem online help describes this procedure.
