There are several ways to manage an application. The most convenient way is to use the Runtime Administration tool which provides all the required administration functions. A command line utility is also available.
If using a client interface (such as Presentation Client) to access an application, administration functions can be accessed using administration commands.
If accessing an application directly through COM+, administration methods are available.
The use of many of the administration functions are restricted to users with the required security privileges. Security for administration functions is controlled using the COM+ roles. The required roles for each command are listed with the command descriptions.
